Police return recovered stolen cars, motorcycle to owners in Kano
The Kano State Police Command has handed over a recovered orange Vibe car and an ash-coloured Haojue motorcycle to their owners after verifying ownership documents.
The command disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday, by its Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa.
“The vehicles were recovered through intelligence-led operations and handed over to their owners at the command headquarters in Bompai, Kano, after the necessary verification and documentation,” the statement said.
The beneficiaries thanked the police for recovering their properties and commended the officers for their efforts, describing the handover as evidence of a responsive, people-friendly police service.
The Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, congratulated the owners and said the recovery was in line with the policing vision of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu.
The policing vision emphasises the protection of lives and property, restoration of stolen property to victims of crime, and building public trust through transparent and accountable service delivery,” the statement said.
Bakori assured residents that the command remained committed to ensuring the safety and security of Kano State.

He added that the police would continue to ensure that recovered stolen properties were returned to their legitimate owners after due verification.
