Group donates food items to Delta orphanages

The Grand Lodge of Nigeria has donated food items, cash and other materials to God on Earth orphanage homes in Asaba, the Delta State capital, calling for a better society
Speaking shortly after presenting the items to the orphanage homes, the Grand Master of the Lodge,, Chief Eric Okotie told South-South on Tuesday that the gesture was part of their cardinal focus on charity.
He said, “Our basic principles, there are three pillars; brotherly love, relief and truth. We don’t tell lies, we are very truthful people.
“We fraternize, we socialize and help one another. We make men to be better men, Christians to be better Christians and Muslims to be better Muslims because we believe in God.
Though it is not a religion, but we teach morality and we also at all times take care of the needs of one another and that is one of the duties that we have come to perform here in the orphanage.
I love charity which is one of our cardinal principles and l have promised myself that in the next five years, anytime we meet we will visit one charity home.
“The last time in Warri, we visited old people’s home in Bowen Avenue in Warri, but this time in Asaba, we deemed it fit to carry out a charity project no matter how small and l know that this will go a long way to help the children and that is the reason why we are here”
Okotie called on Nigerians to always cultivating the culture of love for a better society.
Receiving the items, the representative of orphanage homes, Faith Raji thanked the group for the gesture, saying that the items will go a long way in reducing the body of the orphanage.
Prayers were offered by the children of the orphanage homes, praying that God will touched Nigerians in remembering them at all times.
