Yuletide: Lagos park grants three days free entry to residents, visitors

The Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency has announced special arrangements to make the Christmas period more enjoyable for residents and visitors, including free access to all LASPARK-managed parks and extended closing hours.

According to a post obtained from the Lagos State X handle on Friday, the agency said all parks will allow free entry from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm daily from Thursday, 25th to Saturday, 27th December 2025, noting that the initiative is aimed at promoting family bonding, recreation, and healthy living among Lagos residents.

“Additionally, closing times for the parks have been extended from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm during these three days, giving residents more time to relax, enjoy the festive lights, and make lasting memories with friends and loved ones,” the agency added.

LASPARK emphasised that this initiative aligns with the Lagos State Government’s commitment to providing accessible, safe, and well-maintained green spaces for leisure, wellness, and social interaction.

The extended hours are particularly intended to accommodate those with busy schedules who want to visit the parks during the holidays.

While entry will be free during the festive period, the Agency noted that normal terms and conditions still apply to group bookings, organised events, and special activities, and urged interested parties to make arrangements in advance.

The agency assured the public of adequate security, cleanliness, and facility management across all parks to ensure a safe and enjoyable festive experience.

Residents are encouraged to visit their local parks, unwind in nature, and celebrate responsibly, as LASPARK wishes Lagosians a Merry Christmas and a joyful festive season,” the statement read.
