UTME 2025: Hope not lost, says Elenwoke, celebrates student who scored 339

The poor performance of many candidates in this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, does not mean all hope is lost regarding the education sector in the country.

The proprietress of Highbrow International School, Rumuagholu Obioakpo, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Mrs Elenwoke Chinenye, stated this in a chat with Vanguard while commenting on the results of the examination that have been generating ripples nationwide.

This is just as she is celebrating the great performance of her students in the same exam where Master Nwosu Prince Chinadindu, scored 339 marks out of possible 400.

“Once in a while, things like this are bound to happen. It is not the same set of students that write the exam yearly, so, there may be a set that may do better or worse than a previous set. Moreover, as a country, all stakeholders in the sector need to up their game, one way or the other.

“However, we have school owners who are really passionate and committed to education and see it produce citizens that would be able to compete globally like we do here at Highbrow International School. One of our students, Nwosu Prince Chinadindu

scored 339 and many others did well too.

“As private school owners, we need the cooperation and support of the government, parents and even the students. Education is such a vital sector that we cannot treat with levity. We must get it right,” she stated.

A breakdown of Nwosu Prince Chinadindu’s result is as follows: English Language 58, Mathematics 96, Physics 98, and Chemistry 87.
