Meet Ogun Navy School’s Brilliant Students Who Excelled in JAMB Exams

Obanlaloluwa Asiwajuola Ajayi, a standout student at Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Abeokuta, has once again demonstrated his academic excellence by scoring an outstanding 335 in the recently concluded Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination.

In a year where JAMB officials raised concerns about widespread low performance across the country, Obanlaloluwa’s exceptional result shines as a beacon of hope and brilliance. His academic feat has garnered admiration from educators, peers, and members of the community.

Speaking with our correspondent, Modasoluwa Abass, a resident of Obantoko in Abeokuta, Ogun State, expressed his delight, saying “I know his parents personally, and I can confidently say that Obanlaloluwa is a focused and hardworking young boy. Despite the reports of low scores nationwide, he continues to stand out. He truly deserves all the recognition he’s receiving.”

He added, “I wish him and other high-achieving students continued success in their academic pursuits.

"Obanlaloluwa’s performance not only reflects his personal discipline and intellect but also serves as a source of inspiration to students across Nigeria aiming for academic excellence", - he said.

In the same vein, one of the school staff who spoke in anonymous with our correspondent at Penseke revealed that Obanlaloluwa wasn’t the only student who performed impressively. Other top scorers included Okegbola Pelumi Fawaz with 332 and Faranpojo Arnold Olaoluwajuwonlo with 319 was revealed by the JAMB, among others.

Reacting to the students’ achievements, the woman expressed immense joy on behalf of the school administration, saying “I can’t hide my joy over the remarkable performance of our students. This is a national honour for Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Abeokuta, and we are proud of them.”

She also appealed to parents to be more involved in their children’s academic journey.

“I encourage all our students, especially those graduating, to remain committed to their educational goals. Every nation has its future in the hands of its youth. Parents must support and nurture these dreams in every possible way. At the end of it all, that is our true reward.”
