Despite facing alleged sexual harassment and intimidation in the Senate, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, remains committed to delivering on her electoral promises.

Investigations reveal that within her first year in office, she has significantly transformed the education sector in Kogi Central. Through her initiatives, 5,000 digital learning devices have been distributed across public primary and secondary schools in her constituency, enhancing learning and improving the quality of education in the state.

During her first year anniversary celebrations, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan launched several projects across her district, as reported by the Nigerian Tribune in November 2024.

According to a press release by her Chief Press Secretary, Arogbonlo Israel, some of her notable accomplishments include:

* Infrastructure Development: 

Commissioning of a 1km road network at Abdul Azeez Memorial College, Okene. She also announced plans to build new primary and secondary schools, an artificial intelligence and robotics center, and an automotive mechatronics workshop, with construction set to begin in early 2025.

* Education & Empowerment: 

Through the Natasha Foundation, 353 vulnerable students nationwide have received scholarships. Additionally, over 1,300 artisans have been trained in fields such as renewable energy and catering, with startup grants provided to all participants.

* Community Development: 

Apart from distributing 5,000 digital learning devices, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan initiated the construction of a Fulani school, clinic, and boreholes in Osara community—fulfilling key campaign promises to the people of Kogi Central.

* Commitment to Education and Development

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan emphasized that education remains the greatest legacy for future generations, serving as the foundation of a prosperous society. While reflecting on her first year in office, she reiterated that the distribution of digital learning devices and the launch of essential community projects were part of her commitment to improving lives in Kogi Central.

During the presentation of learning devices to students, she reaffirmed that this initiative was a direct fulfillment of her campaign promises. She also announced the completion and handover of the fully rehabilitated Abdul Azeez Attah Memorial College (AAAMCO), Okene, to the school management. Other selected schools, including the former Provincial Secondary School in Okene and Brown New Model Primary and Secondary Schools in Osara, have also undergone full renovations.

* Technological Advancements: Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan's office has facilitated the establishment of: 

A Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (AI&R) at the Federal College of Education, Okene.

An Automobile Mechatronics Cottage Workshop at the Technical College, Oboroke.

* Fulfilling Promises to the Fulani Community

Speaking on the foundation laying for a new clinic, school, and boreholes for the Fulani community in Osara, the senator shared insights into her engagement with the residents.

She said, "During my campaign, I held a town hall session with the Fulani community, and they presented a long list of requests, including a school, clinic, and boreholes. I promised to fulfill these needs," she stated.

She praised the community for donating land for the project and ensuring the safety of workers during construction.

"I thank God that today, we are laying the foundation for these projects, not just for political gains but for the glory of God and humanity," she added.
