Applications for the 2026 LSHTM ISEP Scholarship have officially commenced.
The International Statistics and Epidemiology Partnership (ISEP) MSc in Medical Statistics Fellowship Scheme is for students from sub-Saharan Africa and comprises one year of MSc study, followed by a year’s placement at one of ISEP’s partner research centers in Africa.
All fellowship places are funded by the UK Medical Research Council (MRC) and will support fellows to study for the MSc degree in Medical Statistics at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).
In the first year, the Fellow chooses a summer project as an introduction to the research topic to be pursued further during the placement year.
Eligibility Requirements for ISEP Masters in Medical Statistics Fellowship
To be considered for the ISEP Masters in Medical Statistics Fellowship, you must:
- be resident in and a national of a country in sub-Saharan Africa
- be in possession of an excellent degree with a background in mathematics, statistics, or a related subject
- have at least 1 year of work experience in medical statistics or epidemiology
- be able to meet the English language requirements as set out in the English language requirements policy.
