Oyo holds 2025 JSS1 placement exam

The Oyo State Government has scheduled the 2025 Screening and Placement Exercise into Junior Secondary School One for Thursday, July 17, 2025.
The state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Olusegun Olayiwola, made this known to newsmen on Wednesday.
Olayiwola said the exercise would begin at 7am across designated centres in the state.
He advised all participating pupils from both public and approved private primary schools to come along with their writing materials for the exercise.
Olayiwola further directed principals and heads of the various screening centres to ensure adequate preparation and effective monitoring throughout the exercise.
“Officials of the ministry and members of the Examination Ethics Committee will move around the centres to supervise and ensure that the integrity of the process is upheld,” Olayiwola said, and warned pupils to shun all forms of examination malpractice.
The commissioner also cautioned parents and guardians against loitering around screening centres, noting that only candidates and authorised personnel would be allowed access.
