MR. MUSILIU KAYODE KIKISAGBE: A CLASSIC STORY OF RESILIENCE, PERSEVERANCE AND DIVINE GRACE

There are men whose footprints on the sands of time cannot be erased, men whose dedication, diligence, and integrity leave lasting impressions long after the curtain falls on active service. One of such rare gems is Mr. Musiliu Kayode KIKISAGBE FCPA, fondly and respectfully known as “The Government.”

Mr. KIKISAGBE, the Director of Agricultural and Natural Resources, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, will officially retire from the Ogun State Local Government Service on Thursday, 15th January, 2026, having completed the statutory thirty-five (35) years of meritorious service.

A Journey Defined by Grit and Grace

Mr. KIKISAGBE’s career is a classic story of resilience, perseverance, and divine grace. He began his public service journey as a Clerical Officer (HAPSS 04) and, through his steadfast commitment, self-development, discipline, and a passion for excellence, he steadily rose through the ranks to attain the prestigious position of Director, Agricultural and Natural Resources.
His rise was not accidental. It was earned through hard work, integrity, professional competence, and an unshakable belief in the glory of God. His story remains an inspiration to young officers across the Ogun State Local Government Service, proof that diligence and focus still pay.

A Trailblazer in Agricultural Development

A two-time winner of the Best Agriculture and Natural Resources Officer Award at the Annual Ogun State Local Governments Excellence Awards, Mr. KIKISAGBE’s contributions to agricultural growth and rural development are profound and far-reaching.
Under his leadership, agricultural initiatives flourished, policies were implemented with precision, and the welfare of farmers and rural dwellers received commendable attention. His work significantly strengthened the Agricultural and Natural Resources Department, setting standards that will endure for years.

A Mentor, Leader, and Gentleman

Beyond titles and accolades, Mr. KIKISAGBE is celebrated for his benevolence. He is an unassuming, jovial, and approachable gentleman, known and well loved by many for his friendly disposition and outgoing nature. His office doors were always open, not just for official matters, but for mentorship, guidance, and encouragement.
He has positively mentored countless younger colleagues and youths, shaping careers, building confidence, and instilling professional ethics. Many today stand tall because he once believed in them.

Hardworking, diligent, focused, and deeply dedicated, he embodies the timeless truth:
“Seest thou a man diligent in his work? He shall stand before kings.”
Indeed, excellence announced him.

A Befitting Celebration for a Worthy Icon

In recognition of his outstanding service and legacy, a befitting  retirement ceremony has been organised in his honour, scheduled for Thursday, 15th January, 2026, as family, friends, colleagues, associates, and well-wishers are expected to gather to celebrate a career of impact and purpose.

A Tribute as He Steps into a New Chapter

As Mr. Musiliu Kayode KIKISAGBE bows out of active public service, he steps into a well-earned season of rest, fulfillment, and new opportunities. His retirement is not an end, but a transition, a reward for decades of selfless service.
