Imansuagbon joins ADC, hopes for a better country through platform

BENIN CITY – A chieftain and former governorship aspirant of the Labour Party (LP), Kenneth Imansuagbon, popularly called Riceman, on Wednesday formally joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which he said was the right party that would take Nigeria to its desired destination.
Imansuagbon was received at the party’s Edo State secretariat in Benin City by its chairman, Kennedy Odion, other party leaders and faithful.
He said the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government has failed, adding that only Nigerians can rescue the country hence his decision to join others in that mission using the ADC as the platform.
He said “We need everybody to be here to rescue Nigeria. It is only we Nigerians that will rescue our country, we have decided that we will rescue our country. I am here because I am tired of hunger, it is not just hunger here in Nigeria, it is starvation. A bag of rice that was old N7,500 just a few years ago is now over N100,000.
“I am tired, I can no longer buy rice to share to the poor people of Edo State, to widows and the widowers, ten years ago, a litre of petrol was about N68 , now one thousand naira.
“We are tired of our children leaving school and there is no work for them and I can no longer be part of it. our currency has been so devalued that it has become valueless, we are all keeping quiet in the face of all these?
“But I have found an alternative, I have found a credible alternative, an alternative that is genuinely for change, an alternative that is ready to reduce the cost of food, an alternative that loves the common man, a credible and better alternative and that alternative is ADC. That is the alternative we have all found therefore I call on well-meaning Nigerians to agree to rescue our country. There is no other vehicle that will take us to our desired destination of good governance except the ADC.”
In his remarks, Odion said Nigerians are too sophisticated to be led wrongly by people he described as unpatriotic adding that “We are prepared, the journey is going to be tough, the road is going to be rough but at the end it will be smooth and we are prepared for that.”
