EeZee Conceptz MD apologises to Mercy Chinwo, retracts defamatory claims

The Managing Director of EeZee Conceptz Limited, Nancy Nnadi, has publicly retracted defamatory statements previously made against gospel music minister, Mercy Chinwo, bringing a civil and criminal defamation case to a final close.
The retraction followed legal actions initiated by Law Corridor on behalf of Mercy Chinwo.
These included Suit No. GWD/CV/40/25 and Case No. CR/150/2025.
This is contained in a press statement signed on Tuesday by the Associate Partner and Practice Group Head, Tech, IP, Entertainment, Media & Sports Law, Law Corridor, Mr. Emmanuel Omaga.
The firm expressed satisfaction with the resolution.
The statement read, “We acknowledge and welcome the public retraction issued by Ms. Nancy Nnadi a.k.a. Coach Nancy, Managing Director of EeZee Conceptz Limited, regarding the defamatory statements previously made against Minister Mercy Chinwo Blessed.
We are pleased that the matter has been resolved with full compliance, including the deletion of the defamatory content and a formal public retraction.”
The law firm further commended the professionalism of the legal representatives for both parties, noting that the resolution brings the matter to a definitive closure.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Nancy said, “On the advice of my lawyers and for the sake of peace, I retract my earlier post about Minister Mercy Chinwo as well as pray Almighty God to perfect the ongoing settlement by the fathers of faith between her and EaZee Concepts.”
On May 8, 2025, it was reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has removed gospel singer Mercy Chinwo’s name from its amended charges against gospel music executive Ezekiel Onyedikachi, popularly known as EeZeeTee.
The EFCC had initially accused EeZeeTee, CEO of EeZee Global Concept Ltd, of fraudulently converting Chinwo’s earnings.
However, during proceedings on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the Federal High Court in Lagos, the commission filed a fresh eight-count charge, shifting focus to alleged breaches of financial regulations.
