Abiodun Felicitates Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo on Birthday, Hails Impactful Reign
Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has congratulated His Royal Majesty, Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adebajo (Ojuromi VI), the Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo and Acting Chairman of the Ijebu Traditional Council, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.
In his congratulatory message, Governor Abiodun described the monarch as a distinguished traditional ruler and a worthy custodian of the cultural values and heritage of the Ijebu people.
He noted that the ascension of Oba Adebajo to the throne has continued to usher in notable development and renewed unity in Ijebu-Igbo and surrounding communities.
“Today offers not only a moment to celebrate your life, but also a fitting opportunity to reflect on your impactful reign and the renewed sense of unity and purpose you have brought to the people of Ijebu-Igbo and beyond,” the governor stated.
According to him, the Orimolusi’s reign has been marked by peace, inclusiveness and progress, which have contributed to strengthening communal identity and pride.
“As the custodian of our cultural heritage, you have carried the weight of legacy with grace, ensuring that tradition, modern governance, and community development walk hand in hand. Your commitment to fostering collaboration among traditional rulers and government institutions stands as a testament to your progressive outlook and desire to see Ijebu-Igbo flourish,” Abiodun added.
The governor prayed that God grants the monarch continued wisdom, good health, long life and a peaceful reign.
“On this auspicious day, we celebrate not only a king, but a statesman, bridge-builder, and father-figure whose reign continues to reaffirm the enduring values of wisdom, patience, and service,” he said.
