President Bola Tinubu, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, are among the dignitaries expected at this year’s annual conference of the Nigerian Guild of Editors.

The two-day conference, scheduled for November 12 and 13 in Abuja, will convene editors from print, broadcast, online platforms and news agencies across the country.

The yearly gathering provides a platform for editors and national leaders to interrogate issues shaping governance, development and national cohesion.

This year’s theme is “Democratic Governance and National Cohesion: The Role of Editors,” with Governor Uzodimma delivering the keynote address.

There will also be a panel discussion on the sub-theme, “Electoral Integrity and Trust Deficit: What Nigerians Expect in 2027
