Ramadan: Prince Adenugba Organises Iftar, Prayers For Gov. Abiodun, Distributes Rice, Cash To Muslim Families

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Ogun State on OPIC, Housing and Special Projects, Prince Farooq Adenugba, has organised an Iftar gathering and special prayers for his principal, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, the Governor of Ogun State, members of the state cabinet, and the peace and progress of the state.

Prince Adenugba, a royal prince of the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, hosted the programme at the Ebumawe Royal Palace on Saturday as part of activities marking the holy month of Ramadan. Participants at the event received bags of rice and cash to support them during the fasting period.

The event attracted Islamic clerics and community leaders from across Ijebu North, who offered prayers for the Ogun State Government, the organiser, the traditional ruler, and the peace and development of communities within the area.

Speaking with journalists via telephone after the event, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijebu North Local Government, Hon. Mosunmola Oladipupo, commended Prince Adenugba for what he described as his consistent demonstration of love and generosity toward the people.

“This is not new to me. I have known Prince Farooq Adenugba for over a decade, and this has always been part of his character. He is a leader who genuinely cares for his people. May Allah accept the prayers and acts of kindness extended during this Ramadan and continue to bless him abundantly,” - Oladipupo said.

The gathering provided an atmosphere of spiritual reflection, unity, and communal bonding. Muslim faithful used the occasion to pray for continued wisdom and success for the state leadership while strengthening ties within the community.

Observers noted that the initiative underscored Prince Adenugba’s commitment to social welfare, religious harmony, and the promotion of compassion, especially during the sacred period of fasting and prayer.
