Speaking last month, LASURA’s spokesperson, Adedeji Akolade, said that another batch of compensation would be carried out in November.

Speaking on Monday, Akolade said the property owners were being identified for listing in the next batch of compensation that would take place soon.

What we did today was to carry out the enumeration for the second batch. We are counting the number of property owners affected at the expense of the demolition. This is to know those whose properties were affected and the extent of the damage. Over 100 people were listed today, and it continues tomorrow,” he said

“Governor Sanwo-Olu must be commended and appreciated for fulfilling his promise to compensate residents,” Animashaun said. “We thank him for fulfilling his promise of compensation for those affected by the regeneration exercise.”
