The President of Africa Regional Council of Women, ARCW, and Yeye Apesin of Iperu Remo, Dr Gloria Laraba Shoda has extended her heartfelt condolences to the entire family of the Alaperu of Iperu Remo, HRH Oba Adeleke Idowu-Bashibo over the death of the outstanding traditional ruler who passed away last Thursday.
In a condolence message she made available to journalists through her media consultant, Dr Shoda said, "I'm deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Oba Adeleke Idowu-Bashibo, the Alaperu of Iperu Remo.
" I'd like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the entire Idowu-Bashibo family. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time, especially as you remember Olori Kehinde Idowu-Bashibo, who passed away precisely a year ago. Please accept my sincerest condolences during this difficult time.
"May the fond memories of Oba Idowu-Bashibo's life and legacy, and the Holy Spirit, who is the comforter, bring you comfort and strength." She added.
Dr Shoda, who was installed Yeye Apesin of Iperu Remo by the predecessor of Oba Idowu-Bashibo, Oba Joseph Olutayo Ogunfowora (Mogunse Amororo V) over two decades ago, also commiserated with the people of Iperu Remo, the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
As the Yeye Moye of Remoland, Dr Shoda also extended her condolences to the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba (Dr) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, on the irreparable loss of this renowned and progressive monarch.
According to her, "The Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba (Dr) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, has lost a fellow monarch, a friend and one of the prominent members of the Remo Traditional Council, of whom he is the Chairman.
"My condolences go out to him, as well as to the entire Remo kingdom, for this great loss. Oba Idowu-Bashibo's transition to the great beyond came at a time when our community is still mourning the loss of RT. Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga.
"May the memories of these two great leaders continue to inspire us to work towards a brighter future for our community.
"Oba Idowu-Bashibo's dedication to the development of Iperu Remo and his visionary leadership will never be forgotten. As we mourn his passing, we take solace in the fact that his impact will continue to inspire future generations."
She then prayed that the soul of the monarch would rest in peace, and that his memory will be a blessing to all who knew him.
