Nigerian Celebrities Honour Kenny, Taiwo Bello During Final Funeral For Late Mum
Ijebu-Imushin was filled to capacity as Ogun's popular political icon and chairman of Bellverno Global Limited, Hon. Kehinde Ayodeji Bello, and his twin brother, Taiwo Bello, hosted a befitting funeral for their late mother.
The final funeral ceremony for the late Alhaja Zinat Bello was a significant event, reflecting her impact as a devoted mother and respected community figure in Ijebu-Imushin during her lifetime.
Investigation by our correspondent, who witnessed the event, revealed that the late community leader was a bridge builder, loving mother, and devoted Muslim known for her unwavering love for those around her.
The Issues Magazine and YouTube TV Show reported the colourful funeral ceremony, which was held at St. Anthony Grammar School premises. The event attracted notable dignitaries, particularly from the entertainment and political sectors, cutting across both APC and PDP members.
Among the guests were Hon. Joseph Adegbesan, Hon. Babatunde Olaotan (HBO), Hon. Lukman Adeleye (Minority Leader, Ogun State House of Assembly), Hon. Waliu Owode (representing Ijebu East State Constituency), Hon. Adegoke Adeyanju (representing Yewa North I State Constituency), and Hon. Kayode Amusan, a former House of Representatives member and chairman, Ijebu-East Local Govt, Hon. Oludare Kehinde.
Others included Hon. Yemi Adelani (Igwe), Ogun APC Organising Secretary, Engr. Bayo Dayo, former Ogun PDP Chairman, and prominent figures from the entertainment industry such as Mr. Bolaji Amusan (Mr. Latin), Madam Ayo Mogaji, comedian Baba Tee, Wunmi Ajiboye, Saint Janet, and Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde, K1 De-Ultimate, who provided entertainment for the guests.
Hon. Kehinde Bello, popularly known as KAB in Ogun political circles, is a former House of Representatives aspirant for Ijebu East, Ijebu North, and Ogun Waterside federal constituency in 2019 and 2023. He is also a key figure in the APC in Ijebu-East local government area.
During the ceremony, Hon. Kehinde Bello prayed to Almighty Allah to grant his mother eternal rest and pledged that he and his siblings would uphold her rich legacy of selflessness and love.
"I am ending my soft tribute with tears, a heavy heart, and total submission to Almighty Allah. I am comforted by the thought of the life you lived-a life worthy of emulation. It is my prayer that Almighty Allah will forgive her sins and grant her soul eternal rest," he said.
In his tribute, Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun described the late Mama Bello as a virtuous woman dedicated to service and humanity.
"There is no doubt that Mama's life and journey have been marked by numerous accomplishments, and her remarkable years have been a profound source of inspiration to many.
"Though her departure has left us with a deep sense of sorrow and a notable void, her transition signifies the end of an era defined by immeasurable impacts. She dedicated her entire life to the service of God and humanity.
"It is gratifying to note that Mama lived a fulfilled life, having witnessed her children thrive and replicate her legacy of hard work, selflessness, and integrity. Her legacy among family members and the community will endure for generations to come," the governor said.
The colorful event was a celebration of a life well spent, marked by eulogies, encomiums, colors, and style. Alhaja Bello’s children and relatives ensured that the late community leader received a befitting burial that will remain a talk of the town for a long time.
