New tax reform bills will boost economy, improve living standards – Senator Lado

ABUJA – The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Senate Matters, Senator Basheer Lado, has assured Nigerians that the proposed tax reform bills, currently under public hearing at the National Assembly, will significantly enhance economic growth and improve the standard of living for all citizens.

Speaking during a courtesy visit by a delegation of professors, scholars, and commissioners from Kano State, Senator Lado emphasized President Tinubu’s commitment to a fair, transparent, and growth-driven tax system.

A statement from his media office in Abuja quoted him as saying: “This visit reflects your commitment to Nigeria’s economic future. The delegation, led by renowned economist Dr. Muhammed Sagagi and accompanied by Prof. Auwal Yadudu and other members, shared their perspectives on the tax reform bills, emphasizing the need for inclusive policies for sustainable development.
