MADEIN FELICITATES BOSOM FRIEND, DR. JOKE SOFOWORA, ON HER APPOINTMENT AS EYO AMBASSADOR; CONGRATULATES IPERU COMMUNITY ON MAIDEN EYO CARNIVAL
The first female Accountant-General of the Federation, Dr. Mrs. Oluwatoyin Sakirat MADEIN, has warmly felicitated her longtime friend and associate, Dr. Mrs. Joke Pero SOFOWORA, on her appointment as Eyo Ambassador for the maiden Eyo Carnival scheduled to hold in Iperu Remo, Ogun State, on Saturday, 25th April 2026.
Dr. MADEIN expressed immense joy and pride at the well-deserved recognition bestowed on Dr. SOFOWORA, describing her as a distinguished professional whose accomplishments and contributions continue to inspire
"I am truly thrilled to celebrate this remarkable and well-earned honour with you, my dear friend. Your appointment is a comfirmation of your dedication, excellence, and enduring commitment to community development,” she stated.
She further emphasized the enduring bond of friendship between them, noting their shared journey of mutual support and encouragement across personal and professional spheres.
Dr. SOFOWORA, an indigene of Iperu from the Ibowu axis, had her early education at St. John’s Catholic Primary School and Christ Apostolic Grammar School, both in Iperu. She obtained a National Certificate of Education in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Ibadan, and later earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration from the University of Lagos. Dr. SOFOWORA also holds a Doctoral degree in Business Administration from the Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos.
Her professional career spans roles as an Operations Supervisor at the Federal Mortgage Bank and a Manager at the Federal Mortgage Finance. Driven by entrepreneurial vision, she founded Boltek Systems Limited, an information technology firm where she currently serves as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer.
In addition, she has contributed as a training consultant to the Federal Ministry of Industry, facilitating office automation training programmes. Her wealth of experience, corporate exposure, and extensive network are expected to significantly enhance the global visibility of the Eyo Iperu cultural heritage.
Dr. MADEIN, Founder and Chairperson of the Olowo Oloye Foundation, also used the opportunity to extend heartfelt congratulations to the entire people of Iperu Akesaland, both at home and in the diaspora, on the historic maiden Eyo Carnival. She commended the planning committee for organizing what she described as a landmark cultural celebration.
Importantly, she reiterated that Iperu is the origin of the Eyo cultural tradition, underscoring the significance of hosting such a historic event in the town.
She concluded with prayers for continued unity, progress, and greater development within the community.
