reports that the state government also confirmed the promotion of the teachers by issuing letters of elevation to the successful officers across various ministries, departments, and agencies.

The development was disclosed by the Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, Hajia Habibat Yusuf, in a statement issued on Friday by the Press Secretary of the commission, Oniye Oganija M.A, and sighted by Arewa PUNCH in Ilorin.

Hajia Habibat said the exercise followed the successful conduct of promotion examinations and interviews for eligible officers in the state civil service.

“Over 2,000 civil servants sat for the year 2024 promotion examination and interview, out of which 98.87 per cent passed,” she stated.

The commission’s chairman commended the Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, for approving the release of the promotion letters and for his continued support to the state workforce.

She noted that the approval underscored the administration’s commitment to career progression and staff motivation within the civil service.

“The beneficiaries of the year 2024 promotions who have been issued their letters will begin to enjoy the financial benefits of the exercise in earnest,” Hajia Habibat added.

She further expressed satisfaction with what she described as the government’s responsiveness to workers’ welfare, noting that adequate funds and logistics were made available to all ministries, departments, and agencies to enhance efficiency.

Hajia Habitat, however, urged the newly promoted officers and the entire civil service to reciprocate the gesture through dedication and loyalty.
