Kwara postpones BEC exam to mourn Buhari

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has notified the general public of the postponement of the Basic Education Certificate Examination in the state.
The BECE, initially scheduled for Tuesday, July 15, 2025, has been rescheduled to Thursday, July 17, 2025, according to a statement by Peter Amogbonjaye, press secretary in the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, on Tuesday.
“This postponement is due to the public holiday earlier declared by the Federal Government of Nigeria in honour of the late former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.”
The statement said that students, parents, guardians and school administrators should particularly take note of the change in the examination date.
“The Ministry regrets any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciates the continued cooperation and understanding of all stakeholders,” the statement said
