Katsina gov’s aide wins Mani/Bindawa APC House of Reps primary

The Special Assistant on Girl Child Education and Development to Katsina State Governor, Jamila Mani, has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress primary for Mani/Bindawa Federal Constituency in Katsina State.

The primary election was held on Saturday as part of the party’s National Assembly primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Mani defeated her closest rival, Ahmed Saleh, to clinch the ticket after polling 24,989 votes.

Saleh scored 1,256 votes in the exercise.

In other constituencies across the state, the APC conducted its primaries through affirmation following a consensus arrangement earlier adopted by stakeholders.

The APC is holding its House of Representatives primary elections across various states ahead of the 2027 general elections.
