John Fashanu urges Osimhen to choose Premier League move

Former England international John Fashanu has advised Victor Osimhen to prioritise a move to the Premier League over other European leagues, calling it the ideal platform for the Nigerian striker to continue his career.
Fashanu, 62, who was born in England to a Nigerian father and British mother, praised Osimhen as one of the best strikers in Europe and believes a move to England would be a wise decision.
In an interview with Brila.net, the former Aston Villa forward said,
“He is a great player. I enjoy watching him because you never know what he would do. It would be absolutely fantastic to see Osimhen in the Premier League with a club like Aston Villa.”
While endorsing a move to the English top flight, Fashanu made it clear he would rather not see Osimhen at one of the Premier League’s traditional big clubs.
“I don’t want him going to clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, or Arsenal,” he added.
Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has been in sensational form in the Turkish Süper Lig, scoring 33 goals and providing 8 assists in 38 appearances this season.
The 26-year-old Super Eagles striker is expected to leave Napoli on a permanent deal this summer, with a €75 million release clause in his contract.
He has been linked with several top Premier League sides, including Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle United, and Arsenal.
