Veteran Nollywood actor Owolabi Ajasa, popularly known for his iconic police roles and the catchphrase, “Ta lo pa chief?”, has dismissed viral reports claiming he is dead.
Rumours of the actor’s death spread across social media after an obituary poster announcing his purported demise surfaced online.
Reacting to the claims in a video shared on his Instagram page on Friday, Ajasa reassured fans that he is alive and in good health.
“I’m still much alive in good health,” he said.
The actor also condemned those responsible for circulating the false report, saying, “To everyone posting my obituary around, I’m saying back to the sender to you and your family.”
Addressing his fans in Nigeria and abroad, Ajasa said, “Good day everyone, my name still remains Owolabi Ajasa, your Nollywood police officer. I want to tell all my fans both in Nigeria and abroad that I’m still much alive. I’m alive, hale and hearty. There’s nothing wrong with me,” he said.
