If I was led by sight, I wouldn’t have married my wife – Pastor Enenche

Founder of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Pastor Paul Enenche, has revealed that he married his wife, Dr Becky Enenche, not based on physical appearance but by faith.
In a viral video circulating on social media, Enenche recounted that Becky, then a medical student, had a plain appearance and carefree fashion sense. He said she often wore “permanently plaited” hair and “shapeless” clothes such as A-line skirts and jump-up sleeves.
The popular preacher said he was not led by sight but by spiritual conviction in choosing his life partner.
He said, “If sight was leading me, I wouldn’t marry my wife. I told my children the other day and they were all laughing. And she told them herself. Why? Because at that time, she never cared for anything. She just was anyhow. That is, a medical student didn’t care for anything. The hair was plaited mat permanently. She wore any dress available: shapeless.
Becky, who was present in the congregation during the sermon, laughed and confirmed the account.
Enenche further contrasted her with other “flashy but spiritual” women around him at the time, saying, “There were flashy people around—very flashy. They were also spiritual and flashy. But God led otherwise.”
Advising his congregation, he cautioned against judging by appearances. “Not everything that looks good in the moment has a future,” he said, urging believers to seek divine guidance over surface appeal.
