I lost two sons to police brutality— Musician OG Millan’s mother
The mother of 28-year-old musician, Oghenemine Ogidi, popularly known as OG Millan, has alleged that she has lost two sons to police brutality in separate incidents.
The emotional claim surfaced during a condolence visit to the bereaved family by former Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor, Harrison Gwamnishu, and members of his team.
In a video shared on Instagram on Wednesday, the grieving mother was seen in tears as she recounted her ordeal.
Sharing the video, Gwamnishu wrote, “We met with Oghenemine’s mother, and her story is heartbreaking. She revealed that both of her sons were killed by the police.
“The first was arrested from his home in 2022 and later killed. The police claimed he died in an exchange of gunfire but that version of events has been questioned.
“Now, Oghenemine Ogidi has become the second son she has lost under similar circumstances.
No mother should have to endure this kind of pain twice. This is why accountability matters.”
The latest allegation comes amid public outrage over the death of Oghenemine, who was reportedly shot by a police officer in Effurun, Delta State.
