Gunmen kill two, abduct three siblings in Anambra, Ondo attacks

Gunmen have killed two persons and kidnapped four others in separate attacks in Anambra and Ondo states.
In Anambra, three siblings, a boy and two girls, were abducted in the early hours of Friday in Amansea, Awka North Local Government Area.
It was gathered that the boy was later killed after he was allegedly forced by the assailants to sleep with his sisters.
Eyewitnesses said the hoodlums invaded the victims’ residence, took the siblings away, and dumped the boy’s lifeless body in a river in a nearby community.
They stated that a fourth sibling managed to escape from the attackers.
“It was a panicky moment in the area this morning. The assailants invaded their home, forced the boy to have sex with the sisters and then took the three of them away, but the lifeless body of the boy was found at a river in a nearby community
No one knows the reason for the development, whether it was a case of kidnapping or assassination. The assailants were going away with four siblings, but one of them escaped. The incident has been reported to the police station. The kidnappers have yet to contact the family for any ransom,” said one of the eyewitnesses.
The spokesman for the Anambra State Police Command, Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the development in a statement, adding that the Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, had ordered operatives of the State Intelligence Department to identify the surviving victim to assist with the investigation.
In Ondo State, suspected bandits numbering about 10 stormed Ayede Ogbese community in Akure North Local Government Area on Thursday evening, killing a man identified as Okudili Okoro and abducting a trader, Mrs Orogun.
The hoodlums were said to have arrived in two unregistered vehicles, a silver Honda EOD and a grey Toyota Camry, and headed towards Akure and Owo after the attack.
The Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, said the incident occurred around 8:30pm, adding that the Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, had ordered tactical commanders to ensure the rescue of the abducted woman unharmed and the arrest of the perpetrators
