Governor Sule sacks TSC chairman, inaugurates 16 new commissioners

Governor Abdullahi Sule has terminated the appointment of the suspended Teachers Service Commission (TSC) chairman and members over employment fraud.

The decision was announced during the inauguration ceremony of 16 newly appointed commissioners on Friday at City Hall in Lafia, the state capital.

Governor Sule also revealed plans to constitute an independent body that will conduct fresh selection interviews for 3,000 previously recruited teachers, with the aim of choosing 1,500 competent candidates.

The newly sworn-in commissioners, screened by state lawmakers to form a new cabinet, include:

Umar Tanko Tunga – Lands (Awe Local Government)

Munirat Abdullahi – Finance (Doma)

Gabriel Agbashi – Science & Technology (Doma)

Isaac Danladi Amadu – Environment (Karu Local Government)

Magret Itaki Elayo – Pending Portfolio (Means Local Government)

Dr. Ibrahim Tanko – Information (Keffi)

John D.W Mamman – Education (Kokona Local Government)

Aminu Mu’azu Miafata – Local Government & Community Affairs (Lafia Local Government)

CP Usman Baba – Security & Sundry (Lafia Local Government)

Mohammed Sani Ottos – Trade and Investment (Nasarawa Local Government)
