EPL: Liverpool make approach for Brighton winger Minteh — Reports

Liverpool have approached Brighton over a potential move for winger Yankuba Minteh, as the Reds continue to strengthen their attacking options, according to BBC Sport on Thursday.

The 22-year-old Gambia international has scored 10 goals and provided nine assists in 73 appearances for Brighton since joining the club from Newcastle for £30 million in 2024.

Minteh primarily operates on the right wing but is currently recovering from a leg injury sustained during a friendly against Roma earlier this month.

Liverpool are looking to add more options in wide areas following the departure of Mohamed Salah, with the club expected to explore a number of targets before the transfer window closes.

The Reds signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna for £34 million earlier this summer, with the versatile forward capable of playing on the wing or through the middle.

Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola remains another priority for Liverpool, but the two clubs are currently some distance apart in their valuations.

PSG are understood to want around £145 million for the 23-year-old France international, while Liverpool would prefer to agree a deal closer to £100 million.

Barcola is reportedly open to a move to Anfield, but Liverpool’s approach for Minteh suggests the club are continuing to assess alternatives as they look to bolster their attacking options.
