Eid-el-Fitr: G-15 of Yewa Land Felicitates Muslims, Calls for Unity and Godliness

As the 2026 Ramadan season draws to a close, the Giant Wise Men of Yewa Land (G-15) have extended warm felicitations to Muslims across Ogun State and Nigeria on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

In a statement released by the Secretary of the group, Akinyemi Michael (popularly known as “No. 2”), and signed by its President, Idowu Ayomide Joseph (also known as Oloriodo of Oja-Odan Land), the group commended Muslim faithful for their sacrifice, perseverance, and devotion throughout the 30-day fasting period.

The statement, made available to journalists in Oja-Odan, emphasized the importance of upholding moral values as a foundation for national development.

The group urged Muslims to use the Eid celebration as an opportunity to seek divine guidance and offer prayers for the leadership of the state and the country.
G-15 further encouraged adherents to uphold the core lessons of Ramadan, including faith, charity, humility, and love for one another.

“The lessons of this festival are that we must have absolute and sustained belief and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, give charity, and love our neighbours,” the statement read.

The group noted that many of Nigeria’s challenges—such as insecurity and corruption—are rooted in a lack of accountability to God. It therefore called for sincere and sustained efforts to promote God-consciousness as a pathway to national unity and progress across ethnic and religious divides.

While celebrating the season, G-15 also expressed appreciation to key political leaders for their contributions to the development of Ogun West and Yewa Land. The group specifically acknowledged the efforts of Dapo Abiodun and Olamilekan Adeola for their developmental strides in the region.

They further commended other political representatives in Yewa Land, including Gboyega Isiaka, Wahab Aruna Egungbohun, and the Chairman of Yewa North Local Government, Olusola Akinbode, for their cooperation and commitment to grassroots development.

The group also appreciated traditional rulers across Yewa Land for maintaining unity and supporting development initiatives within their domains.

In conclusion, G-15 expressed gratitude to Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun for his generosity toward youths in the region, praying that Almighty Allah continues to bless him and his family.

The statement reiterated the group’s commitment to fostering unity, development, and moral consciousness in Yewa Land and beyond.
