2027: Olatunbosun Ipaye Declares Interest In Ogun Assembly Seat 

Honourable Olatunbosun Ipaye, a former Councillor and grassroots politician, has formally declared his intention to contest for a seat in the Ogun State House of Assembly, representing Ijebu North Constituency I (Ijebu Igbo) under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ipaye made the declaration at a well-attended meeting of his political team amidst media presence.

Speaking during the declaration, Ipaye described his aspiration as a call to service, stressing that Ijebu Igbo deserves effective, accessible, and people-oriented representation in the State House of Assembly.
“I am a son of the soil, born and bred in Ijebu Igbo. I know every corner of this town, not by assumption, but by experience. My aspiration is driven by the desire to give our people a strong and consistent voice in the House of Assembly,” he said.

Hon. Ipaye is a native of Ijebu Igbo in Ijebu North Local Government Area. He is an Alumnus of Beje High School, Oke-Agbo, Ijebu Igbo, and a graduate of Business Administration from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye. He previously served as a Councillor representing Ward 05 (Oke-Agbo), where he recorded verifiable achievements in community engagement, grassroots development and effective representation.

Reaffirming his loyalty to the APC, Ipaye emphasized his commitment to party discipline, consultation and collective progress, noting that the party remains the strongest platform for delivering sustainable development to the people of Ogun State.

According to him, his legislative agenda will prioritize people-centred laws, youth empowerment, support for small businesses, education, and community development, while ensuring proper oversight and accountability in governance.
“Our constituency deserves representation that is present, proactive, and purposeful. I am offering my experience, my energy, and my commitment to serve the people of Ijebu North Constituency I with integrity and dedication,” Ipaye added.

Party leaders and members at the event welcomed his declaration, describing him as a tested grassroots politician with deep knowledge of the constituency and a proven record of service.

Hon. Olatunbosun Ipaye concluded by calling for unity within the party and support from stakeholders as he begins consultations ahead of the party primaries.
