Education award: Anambra hails Offor Global Network founder

The Anambra State Commissioner for Education has described the founder of Offor Global Network, Dr. Stan Emoh, as “a visionary whose generosity and leadership continue to inspire a new generation of learners and community builders.”

This follows his recognition at the 2025 Post Primary Schools Service Commission Cultural Carnival.

Emoh received an award of recognition during the event held at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, in acknowledgement of his contributions to the growth of education in Anambra State.

The cultural carnival with the theme, ‘Sustaining Culture and Traditions in Anambra State,/’ featured exhibitions of cultural heritage, talents and innovations within the educational sector.

Speaking at the event, the Commissioner for Education commended Emoh for his philanthropic interventions in the education sector, noting that his support had impacted thousands of students and reduced financial burdens on parents.

According to the organisers, Emoh paid the school fees of students at Community High School, Nsugbe; Community Primary School, Nsugbe; and Central School, Nsugbe, covering the first, second and third terms of an academic session.

The gesture reportedly benefited over 1,500 students in the community.

The organisers said the intervention demonstrated Emoh’s commitment to youth empowerment and access to quality education.

They added that his support encouraged students to remain committed to their studies despite economic challenges facing many families.

Receiving the award, Emoh thanked the organisers for the honour, describing it as a motivation to continue supporting his community and the state.

“This recognition is a call to do more for my community, Nsugbe, and Anambra State in general,” he said.

Emoh had earlier pledged to sustain the school-fee payment initiative for five years to ensure that no child in the community was denied education because of financial difficulties.

However, the initiative was later discontinued following the introduction of free education in public schools by the Anambra State Government under Governor Charles Soludo’.
