Buhari’s vision transformed TETFund, says ex-chairman

A former Chairman of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, has attributed the growth and transformation of the Fund to the vision and leadership of late President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a statement exclusively obtained by the PUNCH Online on Tuesday following Buhari’s demise, Ibrahim-Imam, said the former President demonstrated a deep belief in education as a tool for national development, which translated into unwavering support for the work of TETFund during his administration.
“Under President Buhari’s leadership, we were empowered to expand our revenue base, strengthen our institutions, and transform the academic landscape in ways that will benefit future generations,” Ibrahim-Imam stated.
He noted that Buhari’s commitment to discipline, integrity, and service shaped not just national policy but also inspired those who served under him to aim higher.
His simplicity and integrity remained unshaken by the trappings of power. He led with uncommon restraint and anchored public service on principle and purpose,” he said.
Ibrahim-Imam also described Buhari as a symbol of moral leadership who governed without selfish ambition and stayed true to his ideals till the end of his tenure.
“President Buhari was more than a leader. In public, he gave his all; in private, he was thoughtful and wise. He lived a life of dignity, sacrifice, and patriotism,” he added.
While mourning his passing, Ibrahim-Imam prayed for Allah (SWT) to grant Buhari Aljannatul Firdaus and to comfort his family and the nation he served with unwavering loyalty.
