The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 13, Ukpo, Anambra State, AIG Abayomi Oladipo, has decorated two newly-promoted officers of the command, urging them to uphold professionalism, integrity, and discipline in their new ranks.

Oladipo reminded them that their elevation is a call to greater service and responsive policing to the people while encouraging them to apply renewed vigour to securing the nation.

He performed the decoration exercise at the Zone 13 Headquarters in Ukpo, Dinukofia, Anambra State, on Thursday, adding that the officers were promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police.

The Zone 13 Command is in charge of Anambra and Enugu states.

While decorating the officers, the AIG described the promotion as well-deserved and merit-based, reaffirming the Command’s commitment to boosting morale and enhancing operational efficiency through the recognition of hard work, dedication, and excellence.

He said, “Today, the command has recorded a significant milestone in personnel advancement as it celebrates the promotion of two officers to their next rank. Their promotion is well-deserved and merit-based.

“We congratulate the newly promoted officers and charged them to rededicate themselves to professionalism, discipline, and quality service to the people and the country at large

“Promotion comes with greater responsibility, we urge the officers to uphold the core values of the Force, maintain integrity, and sustain public trust in the discharge of their duties.

“The command is committed to boosting morale and enhancing operational efficiency through the recognition of hard work, dedication, and excellence.”

In their vote of thanks, the two newly-promoted officers – DCP Nzota Chidiebere and Blessing Akuchi, thanked the Inspector-General of Police, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in Charge of Zone 13, the Commissioners of Police, Anambra and Enugu states, the Command’s Management Team, and the Police Service Commission for finding them worthy of the promotion.

Chidiebere said, “We accept this promotion with all sense of gratitude as the IGP has said ‘the reward for hard work is more work’. Today is the happiest day in our lives, promotion comes from God and we thank God specially for allowing this promotion to come to us.”
