Among the newcomers are highly rated young internationals, established players from European leagues and several exciting prospects who could make an immediate impact.

Here are 10 new Premier League players to watch this season, as listed by the Premier League on Wednesday

1. Johan Manzambi – Aston Villa

Swiss attacking midfielder Johan Manzambi joins Aston Villa from Freiburg after a breakthrough campaign.

The 20-year-old impressed during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, helping Switzerland reach the quarter-finals and becoming the youngest player in 60 years to record five goal contributions at the tournament, with three goals and two assists.

Manzambi was also named the UEFA Europa League Young Player of the Season after helping Freiburg reach the final.

He will be expected to help fill the void left by Morgan Rogers following his move to Chelsea.

2. Antonio Silva – Bournemouth

Bournemouth have brought in highly rated Portuguese centre-back Antonio Silva from Benfica as they prepare for life under new manager Marco Rose.

The 22-year-old will help replace Marcos Senesi, who moved to Tottenham Hotspur.

Silva has already established himself at international level, earning 20 senior caps for Portugal. He was also part of Benfica’s 2022/23 Portuguese title-winning side.

Former Premier League defender Abel Xavier has described him as a player with “security, maturity, game vision, assertiveness, aggression, and leadership”.

3. Mamadou Sangare – Brentford

Brentford’s new club-record signing Mamadou Sangare arrives after an impressive season with French club Lens.

The 24-year-old Mali international was one of the standout midfielders in Ligue 1 and won the Marc-Vivien Foe Award, given to the best-performing African player in the French top flight.

Sangare ranked second in Ligue 1 for tackles won and third for ground duels won last season.

He also created 38 chances and averaged 1.2 successful dribbles per 90 minutes, making him a midfielder capable of contributing both defensively and in attack.

4. Luka Vuskovic – Brighton

Croatian centre-back Luka Vuskovic is set for his first Premier League campaign with Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 19-year-old joined Tottenham from Hajduk Split before spending the 2025/26 season on loan at Hamburg in Germany.

Vuskovic scored six goals in the Bundesliga last season, more than any other defender, and his spectacular overhead kick was named the league’s goal of the season.

He will replace Jan Paul van Hecke, who moved to Tottenham, and could quickly become one of Brighton’s most exciting young players.

5. Caleb Yirenkyi – Coventry City

Ghanaian midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi is one of Coventry City’s major additions following their return to the Premier League.

The 20-year-old joined from FC Nordsjaelland after being named Young Player of the Year in the Danish Superliga.

Yirenkyi has already earned 15 senior caps for Ghana and scored a stoppage-time winner against Panama on his World Cup debut.

He has also been compared with former Chelsea and Ghana midfielder Michael Essien, who worked with him as a coach at Nordsjaelland.

6. Hayden Hackney – Everton

Everton have signed midfielder Hayden Hackney following an outstanding 2025/26 campaign with Middlesbrough.

The 24-year-old played a key role in Middlesbrough’s run to the Championship play-off final and was named the division’s Player of the Year.

Hackney made more than 150 appearances for Middlesbrough and scored five goals in each of his last two Championship seasons.

He also provided seven league assists last term and will give Everton additional creativity and energy in midfield.

7. Gonzalo Garcia – Fulham

Fulham have signed Gonzalo Garcia from Real Madrid, with the 22-year-old expected to play a key role in their attack this season.

Garcia made 30 LaLiga appearances for Real Madrid last season and scored six goals despite averaging just over 30 minutes per game.

He also made an impressive start to the 2025/26 campaign by scoring four goals at the FIFA Club World Cup.

With Harry Wilson and Raul Jimenez having left Fulham, Garcia could be handed a much greater attacking role at Craven Cottage.

8. Victor Munoz – Liverpool

Spanish winger Victor Munoz joins Liverpool after an impressive season with Osasuna.

The 23-year-old, who previously came through the Real Madrid system, can operate on either wing or through the middle.

His pace and versatility could make him a useful option for Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola.

Munoz scored six LaLiga goals last season from 5.8 expected goals and has already earned two senior caps for Spain.

9. Bazoumana Toure – Newcastle United

Ivory Coast winger Bazoumana Toure arrives at Newcastle after impressing in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim.

The 20-year-old provided nine assists last season as Hoffenheim secured qualification for the UEFA Europa League.

Although naturally a left winger, Toure can operate in different attacking positions, giving new Newcastle manager Matthias Jaissle another versatile option.

He also represented Ivory Coast at the 2026 World Cup, helping them reach the last 16.

10. Ousmane Diomande – Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest have added one of Europe’s most highly rated young defenders in Ousmane Diomande.

The 22-year-old Ivory Coast international arrives from Sporting Lisbon, where he won back-to-back Portuguese league titles in 2023/24 and 2024/25.

Diomande was also part of Sporting’s run to the 2025/26 Champions League quarter-finals.

Forest chief football officer George Syrianos described him as “a powerful, commanding defender…with a winning mentality”.

With his strength, passing ability and defensive intelligence, Diomande could play a key role as Forest begin a new era under head coach Oliver Glasner.

The 10 players are among the most intriguing newcomers to the Premier League this season, with their performances likely to attract plenty of attention as the 2026/27 campaign gets underway.
