Tinubu celebrates former Katsina governor Shema at 69

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the former Governor of Katsina State, Ibrahim Shema, on his birthday.
Shema, who served as Katsina State governor from 2007 to 2015, celebrated his birthday on Tuesday, September 22.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu joined Shema’s family, friends and associates in celebrating the former governor, whom he described as a visionary leader.
The President commended Shema’s contributions to nation-building and national development, particularly his interventions across various sectors of Katsina State during his tenure.
The statement partly read, “President Tinubu believes the former governor raised the bar of governance in Katsina through sustained investment in durable infrastructure, including rural roads, schools, business institutes, clinics, and a state-of-the-art specialist hospital.”
Tinubu also acknowledged Shema’s continued support and prayed for his well-being. “The President thanked Shema for his continued support and prayed that Almighty God would grant him many more years in good health,” the statement said.
Shema, a lawyer and politician, governed Katsina State between 2007 and 2015 and is a member of the All Progressives Congress and the party’s Presidential Campaign Council.
