Sowore attacked in Lagos

Omoyele Sowore, the African Action Congress's presidential candidate for the 2023 elections, was reportedly attacked by alleged thugs at the Lagos City Marathon on Saturday morning. While running the marathon, Sowore and members of his media crew were accosted by the attackers. Additionally, the thugs attacked a few reporters who were covering the event, hurt a lot of their victims, and smashed their cameras and other devices.

In a video seen by our correspondent, the thugs could be seen physically assaulting Sowore, his crew members and the journalists.

One of the thugs was seen grabbing the neck of a journalist who was holding his camera.
