Security operatives nab kidnappers in Plateau, recover N2m

Security operatives have arrested some kidnappers operating in Quaanpan Local Government council of Plateau State.
The Executive Chairman of Qua’an-Pan Local Government Council, Christopher Manship confirmed the development on Thursday in a statement signed by his Media aide, Danaan Sylvanus.
He also confirmed that the sum of two million two hundred and fifty thousand Naira was recovered from the kidnapper.
The statement read, “The Executive Chairman of Quanpan local government council of Plateau state has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing security in the region. This pledge was made during a high-level security operation at Koprume Barrack, Qua’an-Pan Local Government, where security agencies successfully apprehended kidnappers and recovered a ransom.
The kidnappers collected a ransom of two million two hundred and fifty thousand Naira. During the investigation, it was revealed that the victim, Muhammadu Sani Juli, had a disturbingly familiar connection to the kidnappers, highlighting the complexities of the security challenges faced by the community.
The security agencies demonstrated exceptional professionalism in retrieving the ransom and apprehending the suspects.”
The chairman further disclosed that security operatives also arrested one person for attacking travelers along Juku Road, Nasarawa State.
He confessed that their operations involved the use of AK47 rifles,” he added.
The Chairman urged the security agencies to intensify their efforts to apprehend kidnappers and robbers operating in the area.
