Ramadan: Police urge Kano residents to be vigilant

The Police Command in Kano State on Wednesday advised residents to remain vigilant and security-conscious during and after the Ramadan fast.

This is contained in a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, CSP Abdullahi Kiyawa, in Kano on Wednesday.

Kiyawa extended greetings to the Muslims on the occasion of Ramadan, vowing to implement plausible security measures to ensure a peaceful fasting period.

He said, “The command, led by CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, has advised the public to avoid carrying unnecessary items to Tarawih prayers, be vigilant, and report suspicious activities.

“The command  warns against thuggery and prohibited activities, urging cooperation with the security agencies through emergency numbers and social media platforms.

The Commissioner of Police wishes the Muslims a successful Ramadan, appreciating public cooperation.”
