Ramadan: OGEPA GM Bello Extends Felicitations To Muslim Faithful
The General Manager of the Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA), Hon. Kehinde Bello, has extended his warmest and most heartfelt congratulations to the Muslim faithful across Ogun State on the occasion of the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Hon. Bello described the completion of the 30-day fast as a significant spiritual milestone, commending the Muslim Ummah for their perseverance, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to Almighty Allah throughout the sacred month.
"The holy month of Ramadan is a period of deep reflection, self-discipline, and increased charity. I join millions of Muslims across Ogun State and beyond in giving gratitude to Allah for granting us the strength, health, and spiritual fortitude to witness and complete this year's fasting period," the General Manager stated.
He noted that the lessons of Ramadan—compassion, patience, and communal harmony—should not be confined to the 30 days but should be carried forward as guiding principles in our daily interactions. He emphasised that the spiritual cleansing achieved during the month should translate into practical actions that benefit society at large.
"The OGEPA family recognises that a truly pious community is also a clean and healthy one. As we celebrate this Eid al-Fitr, I implore all residents to extend the purity of the season to our immediate environment. Let us avoid indiscriminate waste disposal and embrace the 'Waste-to-Wealth' initiatives championed by the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration," he added.
The General Manager also used the opportunity to reassure the public of OGEPA's continued commitment to ensuring a cleaner, greener, and healthier Ogun State. He called for a stronger partnership between the government and the citizenry in maintaining environmental sanity across the three senatorial districts.
"As we mark the end of Ramadan, let us remember the less privileged among us and continue to show love to our neighbours, irrespective of our religious or ethnic leanings. Ogun State is our collective heritage, and it is our duty to keep it safe and clean," Hon. Bello concluded.
He wished all Muslim faithful a joyous and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration, praying that their supplications and good deeds during the holy month are accepted by the Almighty.
