P-Square rift: Don Jazzy’s father prays for Peter Okoye, wife

Veteran entertainment personality and father of record producer Don Jazzy, Collins Ajereh, has expressed emotional concern over the protracted crisis rocking the iconic music group, P-Square.

In an Instagram post on Friday, Ajereh shared a throwback photo from 2015 showing the day he prayed for Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, and his wife, Lola Omotayo-Okoye.

In his post, he expressed concern over the rift that has fractured the Okoye family, and made a prayer for reconciliation and emotional healing.

“As a father, I am very sorry and emotional about all that has happened to this family. We love them so much,” Ajereh wrote.

He continued, “All the same, I thank God for their lives, sustenance, endurance, decorum, matrimonial bond and will continue to keep them in my prayers.

“Time is a great healer and may God take control of their circumstances. What can I say? May all the tribulations pass away, God heal our broken hearts and grant peace to this family IJMN.”

Ajereh’s emotional intercession comes at a period of intense public fallout and legal warfare among members of the defunct P-Square group.

Reports that despite a brief reunion in late 2021, the conflict between Peter, his twin brother Paul Okoye aka Rudeboy, and their elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye, escalated into a fresh wave of public accusations, financial petitions, and legal battles.

The feud recently took a dramatic turn after Peter released a tell-all video series detailing long-standing allegations of financial betrayal and death threats, as he also reignited historical tensions surrounding his wife and how she was treated surrounding the family.

In a symbolic severance of ties, Peter also announced earlier this year that he would no longer celebrate his birthday on November 18 alongside his twin brother.

Ajereh’s public prayer joins calls among fans across social media for the legendary pop brothers to finally put an end to the feud and embrace peace.
