Oluomo Seye Odufejo declares intention to contest Ijebu East Constituency House of Assembly seat

It was a moment of joy yesterday at the APC secretariat, Ikija Ward 6  as Oluomo Seye Odufejo formally declared his intention to contest for the state House of Assembly seat representing Ijebu East LGA under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking on his aspiration, Odufejo noted that his decision to seek elections was driven by his passion for service, his love for the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu, good performance of Governor Dapo Abiodun and his desire to bring effective representation and sustainable development to the people of Ijebu East State Constituency.

“With my deep rooted connection with my people especially members of the All Progressives Congress APC in Ijebu East LG, I believe I have the capacity to provide pragmatic leadership and effective representation for our people at the Ogun state house of Assembly,” he stated.

While addressing the party faithful present, the Ward Chairman, Hon. Alaba Ogunye called on members to give Oluomo Odufejo their support with assurance that he would represent Ijebu East with dedication,  as he's poised to bring positive change and development to the area. He stated further that Odufejo's commitment to serving the people is evident in his actions and words. "He's a leader who understands the needs of Ijebu East, he's ready to work tirelessly for the progress of our constituency" Ogunye stated.

Ward leaders including the leading leader of Ikija Ward, Ololu Gbenga Taiwo, Mrs Lara Sansa, Mr. Felix ogunlowo, and Ward 6 Councillor, Hon. Bola Olayinka, were present to give their support.

Oluomo Odufejo has been politically active since he contested  and lost the House of Assembly seat in 2023 elections under the APC.

Political observers in the constituency note that his declaration is expected to further strengthen the APC’s grassroots mobilization in Ijebu East State Constituency ahead of the next general elections.
