Ojude Oba 2025: Globacom Honours Ope Osisanwo with Brand-New Suzuki Vehicle

In a moment of surprise and celebration, Mr. Opeoluwa Festus Osisanwo, a dedicated member of the Ojude-Oba Festival Planning Committee, was awarded a brand-new Suzuki Celerio by Globacom at the just-concluded Ojude-Oba 2025 Festival.

The gift, presented as part of the telecom giant’s community service recognition programme, left Osisanwo visibly moved. He expressed heartfelt gratitude, noting that he was unaware he would be among the honourees.

“I knew I was nominated for the community service award sponsored by Globacom, but I never expected to be chosen. It was a complete surprise. I am truly excited and deeply honoured,” he said.

Speaking with our correspondent, Osisanwo lauded Globacom and its founder for their continued support of the Ijebu community and their cultural heritage.

“I sincerely thank the Chairman of Globacom, Otunba Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr., GCON, the Otunba Apesin of Ijebuland as well as the management and staff of the company. This gesture means so much to me and my family. May the company continue to thrive in leaps and bounds,” he added.

He also extended appreciation to the Ojude Oba Festival Organising Committee, led by Chief Oluneye Okuboyejo and coordinated by Chief (Prof.) Fassy Adetokunboh Yusuf, for the role they played in his development and active involvement in the festival.

“The committee has nurtured and supported me over the years. I owe a great deal of gratitude to its distinguished members,” he concluded.

The Ojude Oba Festival continues to serve as a vibrant display of Ijebu culture, attracting dignitaries, sponsors, and well-wishers from across the country and beyond.
