OGHC ENVISIONS ANOTHER 1,000 AFFORDABLE HOUSING UNIT

The newly reconstituted Board of Directors of the Ogun State Housing Corporation has been charged to deploy their wealth of experience to support Ogun State Housing Corporation so that the housing stock and the vision of provision of affordable housing by Prince Dapo Abiodun administration is sustained.
Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi gave the charge during the inaugural meeting of the Board at the Conference Room of the Corporation. The Commissioner raised his optimism that the Corporation could turn in another one thousand affordable housing units in any of the three senatorial districts of the State.
Jagunmolu further explained that the new scheme was expected to collaborate with relevant stakeholders adopting direct labour approach which has given the housing sector the best accolades and complement as the best performing State in the area of provision of Affordable Housing since year 2020.
He further advised that despite that the Corporation was a business oriented entity, it was important that subscribers have value for their money, saying Prince Court Estates located in Kemta Idi-Aba, Kobape, Ilaro, Sagamu, Ijebu-Ode and Aviation Village in Iperu were testimony of quality affordable housing provided by Dapo Abiodun administration .
He emphasised that the GRA Regeneration Programme of the State Government, had added value to land and property of the government located in prime areas of Abeokuta and Ijebu-Ode, noting that the project, was targeted towards giving a facelift to the State also creating massive job opportunities for local builders and artisans in the built industry, as well as promoting local contents development.
In his inaugural speech, the Chairman of the Board, Hon. Yemi Adelani, expressed the readiness of his team to complement the efforts of the Ogun State Housing Corporation and Ministry of Housing in providing more housing scheme to the people of the State.
While reeling out the achievements of the Corporation in the last six years, the General Manager, ESV. Wale Ojo, thanked the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for supporting the Corporation in providing befitting accommodations which residents in the State had been living with, assuring that more housing units were underway.
