NUC grants McPherson varsity full accreditation for 10 programmes
McPherson University, Ajebo, Ogun State, has announced that it has secured full accreditation from the National Universities Commission for 10 undergraduate programmes presented during the commission’s October/November 2025 accreditation exercise.
McPherson Director, Information, and Public Relations, Tokunbo Olakunle, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
Olakunle noted that the approval was conveyed in a letter signed by the Director of Accreditation, Engr. Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the NUC.
He noted that the accreditation followed a series of assessments carried out by the NUC team during the accreditation period.
Olakunle stated, “The approval was conveyed in a letter signed by the Director of Accreditation, Engr. Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the Commission.
The accreditation followed a comprehensive assessment exercise carried out by different teams from the Commission during visits to the university in October and November 2025.”
He identified the accredited programmes as including Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Public Health, History and Diplomatic Studies, Information Technology, Law, Biotechnology, and Economics.
According to him, the accreditation is valid for a period of five years.
Reacting to the development, the McPherson University Vice-Chancellor, Francis Igbasan, commended the institution’s staff for their dedication.
