LASTMA official wins 2025 best traffic officer award

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority has celebrated its Director of Operations, Peter Gbejemede, for emerging as the Best Traffic Officer in Lagos State (Senior Category).
Gbejemede received the award from the Lagos Head of Service, Bode Agoro, during the 2025 Public Service Week held to honour outstanding officers across the state’s civil service.
In a statement posted on its official handle on Monday, LASTMA commended Gbejemede for his dedication, professionalism, and exemplary service to traffic management in the state.
“The Management Team and Staff of the Agency congratulate Mr Peter Gbejemede, Director of Operations (DOPs), on his outstanding achievement, receiving the ‘Best Traffic Officer of the State’ award (Senior Category) from the Head of Service, Mr Bode Agoro. Kudos!” the agency stated.
Photographs from the award ceremony showed the General Manager of LASTMA, Mr Olalekan Bakare-Oki, congratulating Gbejemede while presenting his certificate and plaque, improving traffic flow and operational efficiency across Lagos.
The award, presented as part of the Lagos State Public Service Week, recognises officers who have demonstrated exceptional performance and commitment to public service delivery.
