Kumuyi charges Nigerian leaders to be agents of positive change

General Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has charged Nigerian leaders to be agents of change and galvanize citizens for overall national development.

The renowned cleric and convener of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi said leaders occupy prime position to usher in a turning point in the country by impacting their communities and citizens which will ultimately turnaround the nation’s socio-economic fortunes.

Kumuyi gave the charge while answering questions from newsmen shortly after arriving at the Port Harcourt International Airport ahead of the Global Crusade themed ‘Turning Point’ scheduled to hold from Wednesday, February 25 to Sunday at the Deeper Life Campground in Rumudara, outskirt of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

He emphasized that true national change begins with individual renewal including leaders and other citizens which underscores a turning point.

Turning Point is God’s direction for individuals. Those individuals become agents of turning points in their communities and when people that have a say in the way the country is governed have a turning point too, it’s definitely going to affect every other thing.

“Turning point is not in a vacuum. Turning point is God touching lives, and those lives in turn touch other people. We believe in God and trust Him that turning points will affect policies and the economy of communities and the country.”

Pastor Kumuyi further emphasized the importance of legacy, saying those in positions of authority must seek God’s guidance that will bring about an enduring positive impact on the country and her citizens especially ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“Leaders and Followers, every community and institution, everybody should desire a turning point. What we project is also reflected from the inside. Whether citizens number this or that, if we have an inward internal turning point, it’s going to affect our community.

“Actions of individuals will be judged by the legacies they leave behind,” the respected cleric noted.

Also speaking, Mrs Esther Kumuyi, wife of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, General Overseer, assured participants at the forth-coming crusade to be hopeful, pointing out that God is still capable of providing solutions to personal and national challenges.

Irrespective of the challenges facing individuals, God is able to provide solutions and solve problems of those who believe in Him,” she stated.
