Highlighting her humble beginnings, Abiodun noted that Dr. Madein’s journey is a testament to how determination and hard work can pave the way to success.
“Despite being born without a silver spoon, she shattered records and rose to become the first female Accountant General of the Federation,” he added. “She exemplifies diligence, honesty, discipline, and excellence.”
The governor also praised her contributions to the development of Iperu and Ogun State through various projects, including street lighting, erosion control, the establishment of a women’s technical training centre, and irrigation initiatives.
“You’ve shattered the glass ceiling and distinguished yourself in a country as complex as Nigeria. You continue to inspire countless young women across the nation,” he remarked.
Governor Abiodun concluded by urging Dr. Madein to remain active in national service, noting that her wealth of experience is still greatly needed.
In his remarks, Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel described Dr. Madein as an "amazon" and a woman of substance who had served the nation with honour and integrity. He congratulated her on the well-deserved recognition and encouraged her to continue her contributions to humanity and national development.
