I’m wife material, Tamar Braxton opens up on being single at 48

American singer and actress, Tamar Braxton, has expressed frustration over still being single at 48, saying she believes she should be married by now.

The Love and War hitmaker made this known in a recent interview with WBLS which was shared on Instagram on Tuesday, where she attributed her singleness to what she described as a lack of “nice men.”

Braxton said she considers herself “wife material” and insisted that she has simply not met the kind of man she desires.

“I am a wife material. I am not a streetwalker. I am upset that I am still in street. What’s going on?

I think the only reason I am still single is because there is not the right guys. I accept only premium guys but I have been meeting only regulars lately. All I want is a good man. That’s my type,” she expressed.

The singer also admitted that her strong personality may have discouraged some men from approaching her.

According to her, being an “alpha female” could make potential partners feel intimidated or unsure of themselves around her.

Yes, my personally may come off as intimidating and some men may not have the confidence of approaching me because they may be thinking that they can’t meet my standards.

Braxton, however, revealed that she is making conscious efforts to change that perception.

“But right now, I am trying to ditch being an alpha female and be more soft. I am working on it everyday,” she added.
