The Federal Government has announced the reopening of the 2025 YIEDEP Registration Portal.

With a ₦500,000 grant up for grabs, the Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalization Programme (YEIDEP) is an initiative that aims to facilitate and provide adequate economic engagement of youths for active economic participation, nation-building, economic development.

Details of the Federal Government YIEDEP Program:

Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalization Programme (YEIDEP) is a pro-youth economic initiative whose aim is to facilitate and provide adequate economic engagement of youths for active economic participation, nation-building, economic development, de-radicalization and national security. 

Th YIEDEP aims to mitigate youth unemployment, grow Nigeria’s economy and alleviate household poverty by helping youths to access the business financing, enterprise development services.

The program also offers other basic economic incentives and empowerment platforms needed to transform themselves into entrepreneurs, job creators, income earners and builders of wealth.

Eligibility Requirements for Federal Government YIEDEP Registration

To be eligible for the Federal Government YIEDEP Registration, you must:

  • Be a citizen of Nigeria
  • Be a youth between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • Have a valid National Identity Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN).
  • Show interest or already be in any of the following businesses;
      • Agriculture
      • Fashion
      • Technology (ICT)
      • Entertainment
      • Sports
      • Renewable Energy
      • Other productive businesses
  • Have an account with Lotus/Keystone/Fidelity Bank
  • Be available to attend the training and mentorship program.

Beneficiaries of the YEIDEP grant get a sum of ₦50,000 – ₦500,000 

How to Apply on Federal Government YIEDEP Registration Portal (Step by Step)

To apply on the Federal Government YIEDEP Registration Portal, interested and qualified candidates should;

  • Visit the NIYEEDEP Homepage.
  • click on the Register Now button located on the top right corner.
  • You will be directed to the registration portal where you will be asked to submit your personal details.
  • The personal details to be submitted include;
    • Name 
    • Address
    • Phone Number
    • State of Origin
    • LGA
    • BVN
    • NIN

Once your registration is successful, you will receive a message on your screen showing your Membership Code. This code will be used for your registration at the partner banks (details below).

How To Register a Lotus/KeyStone/Fidelity Bank Account for NIYEEDEP Program

To register with the Fidelity Bank for the NIYEEDEP Program (or any other bank), 

  • you have to first complete your registration for the NIYEEDEP Program online.
  • after you have obtained your membership code, you will proceed to the nearest Fidelity Bank branch with the code.
  • this code will be used to create your personal bank account for the program.
